Chris,
Your winter experiment with the box solar oven is awesome. How much is the 3M mirror paper? Where did you buy it. I am on the board of directors of Solar Cookers International and we are looking for a more reflective material that we can use on the solar Cookit that is being used in Darfur refugee camps (women in the camps have made 31,000 Cookits). Right now we are gluing aluminum foil onto cardboard, but it isn't very durable. My e-mail is solarwind1@mac.com. I'm off tomorrow to India and Nepal to teach solar cooking but would love to stay in touch with you regarding your solar oven testing. I am a retired diplomat who became involved with solar cooking during a one year tour of duty in Afghanistan.

Solar oven is cool...it makes me feel good..i used solar for many things...but then....there are other ways of you had the cast iron stove and a heat box on top...as fas as passive...solar box is nice...might be a small problem with food poisoning but nothing deadly...and only 1 out of 20 or so..I have used them and they work..and they are more for fun than practical...I still love em:-)
